I made salsa yesterday and while filling the jars, I splashed some onto my hand, covering part of my 3 middle fingers.
Instantly I experienced excruciating pain as the salsa was still at boiling temperature. Being in a rush and not thinking, I put ice in a dish and dumped my hand in. Relief! But, since I had just begun jarring 3 batches of salsa, I couldn't keep my hand in the ice. It was hurting so badly I could barely get one jar filled before I had to plunge my hand in the ice again for 3 to 5 minutes. Then I could fill the next jar. If my hand even came close to anything warm it throbbed twice as hard! This went on for the better part of 2 hours. All the time I kept thinking about colloidal silver. Ah, I will just wait till I am done. Silly me!!! I do know better. Finally I put some colloidal silver in a bowl to soak my fingers. The first time I only soaked them for a couple of minutes. Much better relief! No pain for about half an hour. Soaked one more time for about 5 minutes. This time the pain was completely gone and has not returned.
I actually forgot about the burns until a few minutes ago when I bumped my hand. It surprised me that the little bump hurt but then remembered that I burned my fingers last night. One of my fingers is a light pink but there is no blistering or pain.
One day I will remember to turn to colloidal silver first. I could have eliminated 3 hours of agony!
