Nerve Pain Worsens
E.M., Manitoba, Canada

I have had peripheral neuropathy for 8 years. This was caused by a chemotherapy chemical that apparently has this effect in one to two per cent of the population receiving it. It caused permanent nerve cell damage for which there is no cure.

I feel more acute pain on the soles of my feet. I use static magnets on my shoulders and it seems to give me some relief. However, I tried the magnets on my feet and it didn’t have the same effect. I tried a magnetic pulse generator about eight to ten times. This made the pain worse. At the last attempt, the pain in my feet was so bad that I had to stay in bed for two days.

I don’t know if this was my own individual reaction, or it may be that pulsed magnetic fields do not help with the pain associated with peripheral neuropathy.

Please note that while many of the testimonials that are shared indicate a reduction in pain, individual results may vary. While very rare, a few individuals with neuropathy, neuralgia or other nerve-related issues have reported that pulsed magnetic fields increased their discomfort when applied on an area affected with neuralgia. The discomfort was temporary and faded away once the individual stopped using the unit.
